BOR Guidelines

1. Please use the Acord Agent/Broker of Record Change form. (CAA Insurance Services, LLC Producer Code: 0090376) 2. Your BOR request must include ALL of the following: • Policyholder’s signature. PCS will accept electronic signatures • Signature Date next to insured's signature (this is the most frequently omitted item, which delays processing) • Name of policyholder • Name of the new broker and producer code • Effective date of change • Applicable policy numbers or the phrase "Private Client Select policies in force" • If signed by a named policyholder representative, one of the following is required: • Power of attorney letter that authorizes an individual to sign on behalf of a named policyholder • Written (email, letter, etc.) authorization from the policyholder 3. PCS will accept a BOR that is backdated no more than seven days and received within ten days from the insured/policyholder’s signature date. If received after ten days, the BOR effective date will be the date of receipt. 4. The effective date for BORs submitted within 90 days of policy renewal shall be the policy renewal date. 5. Upon acceptance and approval of a fully completed BOR, PCS will notify the new and former brokers of the change. 6. PCS will accept rescinding BORs. 7. For BOR requests in all states except Louisiana, there is no rescission period. As mandated by Louisiana state law, if a BOR request is made for an account, we will provide a 10-calendar day rescind period that starts on the date we receive notification of the BOR. During this time, we will accept a new BOR letter in order to rescind the original BOR request. For this reason, we will not process a Louisiana BOR until the 10-calendar day rescission period expires. 8. PCS will prorate the commission associated with the BOR request between the former broker and the new broker in all states except Louisiana.
